It Should Have Been You

Why a Booktrail?

2025: Have you ever sent a message to the wrong person?

  • ISBN: 978-0857505873
  • Genre: Suspense

What you need to know before your trail

You text your sister. Your message is full of gossip about your neighbour. But you accidentally send it to the entire local community WhatsApp group instead.

As rumour spreads like wildfire through the picture-perfect neighbourhood, you convince yourself that people will move on, that this will quickly be forgotten. But then you receive the first death threat.

The next day, a woman has been murdered. And what’s even more chilling is that she had the same address as you – 26 Oakpark – but in a different part of town. Did the killer get the wrong house? It won’t be long before you find out…

Travel Guide

Dublin

The  mix up in the book focuses on two areas around Dublin known as Oak Park – of course these are fictional but jeez wait till you visit these neighbourhoods!

The city of Dublin sits in the background to the fast action of the plot but there are lovely mentions of places such as Maynooth and the harbour and hotel. A good reminder that drinks at a top Dublin hotel might not be the best idea to accompany this book!

Sit at the harbour instead, but take care if you send any messages on Whatsapp!

Booktrailer Review

What a ride!

A character led novel with more twists than I care to remember. Oh how one wrong message on Whats App or social media can spiral out of control. This novel is like watching a car crash and not being able to look away. I raced through this. A LOT of fun. Not the characters  – oh no – but looking from the  outside in…. you never know what’s going on behind closed doors do you?
