Santorini

It’s an island popular for cruise ships:

The scenery and animals:

From the port, there’s a rather dubious ride up the hill on the back of some poor donkey to get to the main town. In the hot sun, with luggage and tourists on their back.

The dusty abandoned city…

There’s a sense that the dusty abandoned city is about to reveal secrets from the earth.
