Edinburgh
The Burke and Hare murders were a series of sixteen murders committed over a period of about ten months in 1828 in Edinburgh.
William Burke and William Hare sold the corpses to Robert Knox for dissection at his anatomy lectures. A tour of this side of Edinburgh would be interesting! Taking in graveyards to churches, to alleyways and the cobbled streets, this tour is a trail of the darkest places and times in the city’s history.
