2012 was the the 30th anniversary of The Snowman and to mark the occasion there was  a new televised edition of the story which introduced the Snowdog and a snow puppy!

Travel Guide

The Snowman

The setting of the Snowman is obviously somewhere where it snows and where the snowman can fly over the rooftops and have all kinds of adventures. The man who created him, Raymond Briggs, was born and brought up in Wimbledon, London and went to the local Wimbledon College of Arts.

After two years of being in the Royal Corps of Signals at Catterick, he returned to the study of painting at Slade School of Fine Art at University College where he graduated in 1957
