An airport in London and New York
There is not a strong sense of place in this book but suffice to say, you will always wonder what and who you might meet next time you are in an airport. Loretta gets talking to a young mother and her daughter, aged 6. The mother goes to the bathroom and is later found dead. What follows next is a journey of love, hope and salvation. Location is not important as this could happen anywhere but it makes space and time irrelevant when the love of a child is at stake.
