Even if it means she cannot survive.
London
The London described and evoked in the novel is very close to the one in the original Great Expectations. The streets on the map above show the areas associated with the original novel – but this one mirrors and makes them very unique to this story.
Satis House in Kent
Satis House is in Kent near the marshes ( if you have read Great Expectations, you will remember the importance of the marshes in the story). The house on the map – Restoration House, is one that Charles Dickens used to walk past on his daily walks. He based Satis House on this very building. Just look at the facade and the huge gate – you can just imagine Miss Haversham and Estella there!
