Travel Guide

Follow along an ill-fated  scientific expedition in the Russian mountains

This book details an ll fated scientific expedition to a remote forested area in north west Russia. The place is never named but that very sense of vagueness is what makes the setting so real and so alive.

The book is written in the form of incomplete diary entries, making you part of the actual journey and expedition. It shows how these men would have felt and what they were experiencing and going through at the time.

They set off from Paris but the soon end up in the middle of the forest. Around a  year into the expedition they come to a cave where they see there are and have been recent signs of life. Having not seen anyone in recent times, they are keen to observe this. They soon see that there are a group of small creatures living there, but are they human or animal…or both? They argue how to proceed – if to to treat this ‘finding’ as an experiment or if to leave them alone as they were. One professor seems to want to focus on these creatures at the expense of his fellow humans in the group.

You will never forget what you see, how you feel and what you think in that forest….
