Loughborough
Loughborough is a market town in the Charnwood Borough of Leicestershire, England.
The town comes to life during the war years and the Suffragette movement but the locations are vague for the most part. What matters, is that this is a city outside of London and very like cities up and down the country at the time. Cities and villages where women had to step up like never before.
The suffragette movement was active in Loughborough, with a local branch of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) established following the formation of the Leicester branch in 1907.
